Change it at 600, flushing all the breakin contaiments will only prolong the life of your motor. You can't really baby it too much, oil is cheap, a motor isn't.

Dealers have no say on voiding the warranty. All that differs with a dealer is whether or not they go to bat for you in a warranty claim to gm or not.
