1981 camaro

I have a 1981 camaro I changed out the holley 4 barrely carburetor with the electric choke spark plugs and battery to just to get it started it turns but wont stay running can i get some advice...

I just installed a 4777 double pump holley I had a back fire if I try to start it again will it happen again

Can some one please tell what parts I need besides the fuel tank that I will need the 81 I bought has a fuel cell and want to back to regular fuel tank please help ( yes I am noob)
