OP, we can argue the merits or pitfalls of Seafoam all day. I have used it in the past on a 100K mile plus Duramax with inconclusive results. Not bad, not great, just not sure. You have a 6 year old motor with 2500 miles on it. Why would you even think you need that type of internal motor cleaning? That motor is barely broken in. How many oil changes does the motor have under it? For a low mileage motor like that, I would be more concerned about leaving used oil inside for long periods of time without having it get up to temp to burn off moisture.


Personally, I wouldn't waste the time or money on an additive.
