I just got home and checked the service manual. To access the wiring connections you need to pull the heat shield (which clearly sucks since heat is getting to the starter). The book calls for the manifold to be removed to get to these bolts but they are small 10mm bolts securing the shield to the starter. Can’t imagine the manifold being out is going to help that much. I see no need to drain coolant and it’s not listed in the steps. Pretty cut and dry
1) jack car - disconnect battery
2) remove heat shield
3) disconnect wire a
4) disconnect wire b
5) disconnect battery cable
6) remove two bolts holding starter.
Installation is opposite of removal
