Only real downside is the substantial MSRP increase for the 2024 ZL1. The ZL1, Camaro in general, is a very reliable platform. I DD mine since purchasing it in 2018. To attest to the DD capable of a stock ZL1 that only had its routine maintenance done, there was a 2017 ZL1 that went over 220k miles before the owner traded it in for something else. They had 0 issues with the car.

The first thing you should do is swap out the stock tires as they are horrible in the rain and cold as they are, hands down, the best track tire that can still be driven on the street.

Swap them out for something suitable for your region but Pilot Sport 4S are the go to street tire but I've had no issues with the Pirelli P Zero tires and am on my 2nd set.
