I used the Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF that Randy is talking about in my 6 speed manual. This Dexron 3 based synthetic ATF did improve the synchronizer functioning. The tranny is now more smooth going into gear. The factory fluid made the tranny feel like the gears were not meshing well when shifting, especially when cold. Buy 4 quarts.

Get yourself a funnell with about 4 feet of tubing so you can fill the tranny easy from the top of the engine compartment. I bought some clear rubber tubing from the hardware store and it was less than $5.
