Well, the JBA Mid-Pipes with High-Flow Cats gave me 2 mph and 0.15 ET. Advertised, they are +20hp, so 2 mph is about dead on as advertised. Nice job, JBA!
Fun day back at Steele. Same temps as last time, about 84* ambient.
Previous Best (in 84*+ heat): 12.986 @ 107.51, sixty-1.964
New Best (in 84*+ heat): 12.843 @ 109.38, sixty-1.956
Here's my run against a 1967 Camaro SS 383, lightly modded.
Neither of us was planning on a pro-tree and that was the difference.
L99: 12.935 @ 109.46
383: 12.966 @ 110.81.
RT: .798 vs. .699, '67 wins.
That was the theme of the day: always check to see what tree you're running, sportsman or pro, and it also helps to check if you're running the 1/8th or the 1/4.
So what happened was this: 90% of the cars there today were 1/8th mile pavement pounders, trapping 30mph+ in the 1/8th what I trap in the 1/4. So I bashfully chose the left lane each time (they prep the right for slicks), and had fun. Some guys did want to line up, including an '00 Camaro LS1 with cams and gears (turned out to be 1/8th mile gears).
The results are a bit of... oops!
I got
26 mpg on the way home. And rolled past 3000 miles.
Another fun day racing.
