If you wanted you could run Race/High Flow Cats but in any case it won't pass emission tests without the stock bottles on so it's sorta moot. Also if you look closely on the left side of the Y pipe pic you'll see a flattened portion of the pipe; done so it maintains a set ground clearance and meets with the cat. Long design-to-meet-emissions story with that one.
Most aftermarket Y pipes will correct this and there are some out there that will mate right up to the stock Cats. I'd do so because the gains GM were attempting are negligible, a 3 inch diameter pipe will fit fine.

Yeah I noticed that on mine where it is flattened. I'm not paying $3-400 for cats lol. I'm just gonna run none. I'll probably need to get a tune huh? I don't have to worry about emissions down here

Alright. But the TSP says it only fits their headers or Pacesetter. Is there a way to hook it up to the stock manifolds? Cause I don't want to buy one then throw it out for another one...
