Low end torque is great and all especially when driving around town but it doesn't play that big of a role or have a big advantage in drag racing these modern muscle cars like the Mustang because it's launching at 6k rpm and is in 2nd gear in about a second and then its just nothing but 5k-7500k pulls the rest of the way down the strip. Stock 5.0L's are pulling air with a dead hook on stickies at the track so torque is not a problem with the 5.0L
