You remove things like pwer windows and power seats, they're going to have to use other part like manual windows and seat levers to replace them. Items that are currently not in the parts bin.
Hence = added cost.
Yes, deleting certain features can cost more. Porche for example has had several high performance models over the years that you could delete certain option to save weight. But it cost more because they were not standard parts.
