Phil- I'd love to get your input on this. I've heard so many different explanations from well known detailers.
Seems that half of them do their iron decon before claying, and half do it after. What's your rationale for doing it before? Do you think it matters?
I normally do it after, just because I feel that it might help to pull out any iron that the clay might have "loosened." I don't know if there is any sort of credence to that, but that's just how it seems in my head.
