As far as I know the NTSB and the FAA can find no problems with the 787.
...but the flying public doesn't interact with suppliers. They are in a plane, they trust the plane manufacurer has validated all parts from all suppliers.

Just like if an xyz brand gas pedal sticks in a Toyota. The next of kin will be sueing the pants off Toyota, not the suppliers involved.
