Perhaps that's how all SS tachs display.


Probably is a safehaven fthe factory so we dont overrev these engines. The only way to really tell about the true redline is put the car on the dyno. My 2002 SS had a tach redline of 5500, but after dynoing the car, we found out that it made power up to 6400. After the tune, we set the rev limiter at 6300 to keep the valvetrain safe.
