There were posts on this site where the ZL1 was timed on the Nurburgring race track in Germany, I recall it put quite a few cars to shame, here is a partial list, ther were manr more cars slower, if the Z/28 is 3 seconds quicker it will put a number of super cars to shame.

Who's good at searcing this site can you find those posts?
