I agree with your assessment. The front is much improved with the loss of the "mailslot" (poor SSOOCH
) larger lower grill and with the thinner upper grill, it makes it look more aggressive. The extractor on the hood is functional and should help with cooling and aero (downforce at speed). The rear does leave you with a hmmmm, something feels out of place feeling, but like you say, maybe the effect(design) has neutralized it some.
Another poster stated that he felt that it looked more balanced with the larger, singular taillights on either side as opposed to the older style, but that is his perception because he's probably providing a fresher perspective than most of us that have been admiring it for so long. I would say he makes a valid point in that regards.
