4l60E is a lot a trans for that motor, but very "tunable". You should remove ALL of the TQ reduction with a tune and it'll be faster, guaranteed.

What gears are you running?
I haven't ordered Anything yet lol. I'm getting my "list" around so when it comes time I'll already know what I need lol.
I have the stock 3.42 gears. After my tune I had with my headers and 3" exhaust I gained around 15hp and shaved .2 off my 1/4 mile time. If I do this little project this winter withe the cam and TC I should be in the 13s easy. My best time so far has been a 15.51. So it would be quite an improvement lol.
