Yes.. it is caused by the isolator coupler that GM chose to run with this Supercharger. Replacing it with a $60 solid coupler resolves the rattle, but likely could void the warranty on your engine if your dealer service dept wanted to be difficult about it. The rattle does not cause failures but can be annoying to some. I don't really have it on mine, but others do. I don't see it as a deal breaker though I wish GM had a better design.
