I am new to stick shifting (got a stick 1LE two weeks ago) and every single damn time I get out of the car I can smell the clutch.

So my question is:

Once I feel the clutch "engage" how quickly do you release the clutch? Do you ease it out over 2-3 seconds or you throttle up and "drop" the clutch quickly.

I think my problem is that I release the clutch too slowly.
