That the white wire on pin 43 is the amp turn-on wire. So, I guess Gen5DIY is using this same wire to send power to the faceplate

All that being the case, I don't see why I couldn't use the same white wire as a power source to the backup camera.

EDIT: After measuring 12v on the wire when the key is turned on, I just tried it. The white wire works perfectly for powering the reverse camera.
