I am no expert but I don't think there is anyway you can avoid not drilling. I did call TPIS this morning and they are still making the adaptor kit and have them sitting on the shelf right now. I was told that the kit comes with a template on where to drill the holes and you can drill the holes from the top. You do not need to drop the struts because he told me you can then reach up in there with your hand to put the nut on the bolt and tighten it up.
I am now kind of leaning going this way instead of getting the BMR STB016. I am now getting ready to paint my engine cover fuel rails Synergy Green and if I go with the 1LE strut tower brace I will just paint that also before I have it installed.
