Look at the weight difference and look at the rwhp numbers. It might be close I guess depending on what you call close though. The best a stock 2010 Camaro SS has done so far is 12.87 @ 109mph....the best a bone stock LS1 Camaro has done is 12.89 @ 108mph (nineball might have that beat can't remember).. now add a lot more power to the LS1 car and leave the LS3 car the way it currently is and it's going to tip the balance in favor of the LS1 car.

One thing that will also make a difference (putting some 4th gens higher than others) is that 01+ models have the LS6 Intake and a truck cam that gives a boost to low end power. It didn't bump peak numbers much but power under the curve improved and mods like LTs and Intake give better increases with the LS6 intake than the LS1 intake. (in other words I am giving best case numbers using an 01+ model...a 98~00 LS1 car might be a few ticks slower or faster who knows.)

Here is Full exhaust, lid, clutch and Drs.
12.15 @ 114

There is also a guy who claimed the below time on DRs, Headers only (no intake mods) but if you skim the thread you will see a lot of doubt.
12.557 @ 114.54

It varies a lot (just like the results you see on here. DA is rarely good enough for a great pass so you see poor results from good drivers in bad DA and bad results from bad drivers regardless of DA). Driver to driver with equal conditions and the lighter car with close to the same power is going to walk away every time. IMHO.

Now that said the best pass done in a 2010 car was still in ~950DA and not negative DA at Atco so it's still possible that a freak 12.6~12.7 @ 110~111mph might occur this winter and that will change the perspective for me. As of right now with the information available I believe this to be accurate though.
