Rear Differential fluid Mobil 1 or Royal Purple, and motor oil discussion.

I got the motor oil changed at about 420 miles @ the dealer, and now I I'm approaching 1500 and I want to do the Diff for the first time and Motor oil again, but don't want to pay the dealer $140 for a $7 quart of r-end oil. The $70 @ the dealer for the oil change wasn't bad.
