Welcome RCPW. Hope everything works out. Have you been paying off the car yourself, or is it a joint venture? I would say, pay off the truck, and sell it as you plan, but use some of the money towards bills if both of your money is going towards the truck. That way she can't be mad because you have saved up some extra money to go towards bills, and extra money to go to your car. As long as it's not ONLY for the camaro down payment, she should have no reason to be upset.
Though if it's your money, then it's your call what car you drive.
