If you do as the others have said and raise the resonator up to where it contacts the bottom of the car, then tighten everything back up, you'll be fine. It'll settle down to where it doesn't contact the bottom of the car. Plenty of room above the brace after I did that.
Hardest part for me was getting the tips in the same spot on each side. My OCD was really ba that day LOL
