For the most part the Canadian border guards don't care about anything. A quick google search (which led to a pretty un-official website) gave the following:

Q. What is prohibited to bring into Canada?
A. List as follows,
*Radar Detector.
*Live minnows, leeches, or worms (night crawlers) unless not packed in dirt.
*Dog Food.
*Potatoes.
*Fire Wood.
*Military style attack rifles.
*Large Capacity Cartridge Magazines (Exceeding 5 rounds for centre fire rifles)

I assume the real list is a bit more comprehensive than that. But regular, harmless consumer products should never be a problem.
