Great post and words of wisdom! 100% agree! A guy on the ZL1 forum argued with me about swapping to ATE super blue brake fluid because it "wasn't necessary". Yeah, his argument was the factory fluid was fine and I made the comment about factory fluid not being special at all. Brakes are key to confidence and consistency at a road course!
