just picked up 67 camaro need some engine help

just baught a 67 camaro. Engine block is a 1983 350 block. dont know if its a 2bolt or 4 bolt. in 83 there were both. Heads are 327 double humps/camel humps, Straight Plug version.
its got a Crane/Cam dynamics street plus Cam
valve adjust int .022, valve adjust exh .024
valve lift int .493, exh .512
tappet lift of .050
ground lobe 112 degrees

Edelbrock Torker intake
Holley 670 street avenger carb
Hedman Headers.
HEI distributor.
3:73 rear
Compression unknown
Valves unknown
rockers unknown.

I went to tune it up yesturday and removed the plugs.
According to Autolite the plugs i am supposed to use are PN# 85
14mm thread, 9.5mm reach.
Plugs I removed were PN#36 and dicontinued. replaced with 46
18mm thread, 11.6mm reach. Also the 46 series plugs were for Ford Applications

Any gear heads out there have any idea why these plugs would of been used?

also want know know if there is a valid reason why the PCV vacuum shouldnt be connected from the head to the carburators PCV vacuum port?
