I have the 2" Stainless Works LT's and I'm completely happy with them.
I too, wondered if going with the larger diameter was going to make me lose some power. I even asked Stainless about it. They didn't have an answer saying they hadn't had the opportunity to test out the different sizes on the same car. They said the difference would likely be minimal. Well, as you can see with the tests, the gains are minimal.
I love my long tubes. At first, I thought I lost some of the low end. Then, after breaking in the engine (as anyone out there will say), it got better and better.
The best part about the 2" headers? You won' have to get anything different once you decide to finally supercharge later down the road!!! yes, I plan to...but haven't a clue when that would happen....
