That is beautiful. I don't know if I could deal w/ the cold "depressing" winter season, though. :( A short wintry season is very nice. But, going for months w/ snow on the ground, gray skies, cold weather, etc, would take it's toll on me. Montana is beautiful.
My 2nd cousins live there and love it. They are pretty much out in the middle of nowhere, but that is just how they like it. Now...for another beautiful place that I love...Oregon (Cornelius is where my Grandma lives). Beautiful farm land on big rolling hills, pine trees everywhere, Mt Hood, Mt Raineer, Mt Everest all in the horizon, cool weather during the summer and never gets blazing hot. I love to visit in Oregon.
We also get up to the Hood to do some snowboarding...and that also where I proposed to the wife up past Timberline Lodge.
