I agree...I'd never put that horse piss in my engine. Castrol Syntec is perfectly fine for any heads/cam combo on a stock bottom end on the street.

The rocker and valve tip interface...that's a cooling issue, not a lubrication issue (that's actually what the oil is for in your bearings too, removing heat from the bearings so they can continue to do their jobs)...hydraulic lifters and some more spring pressure...perfectly fine with the same weight oil that GM told you to use.
