I have to agree... Runflat tires suck.. They are heavy and you can as a driver feel the weight.

Get a small $20 compressor...and 2 dollar plug kit at k mart..

I got a few flats over the years in my Z06 with non runflats and even though I never repaired a tire before...it took me less time to fix the flat than it took me to type this..

then when you got the time you can just roll into any tire shop for an inside patch. 20 bucks and your good as new..

Try and find a shop to repair or even mount a runflat and it can be a pain in the @ss.

The extra cost of runflats are not worth it...but the loss in handling and ride..(hit a bump mid corner in a runflat tire car and it jumps sideways.. Do the same corner with regular NON runflat tires in the same car and the tires stay in contract with the road)

That feature alone is why I cant wait to dump the runflats on my new vette when they wear out..

Runflat cost on the vette? over 15oo
NON RUNFLAT TIRE cost? 871

I'd spend the money if runflats weren't such a handling compromise.. (mid corner bump story above) because the idea sounds good..but..in reality it sucks...

Real world Handling and ride loss
Extra unsprung weight ? at least 25 lbs.. which is a lot..
EXTRA COST TO REPAIR RUNFLATS, mount them, and buy them..
