I'd have to say no and yes to that.
Yes, only because of Petes explanation of using the same nut and torquing. Had I used aftermarket ones, I'd have had a much fuller fit, and a new nut. May have made a difference. But that's the only reason.
No, because when I found the one end link without the nut a while ago (it was the top end that hooks to the sway bar not the control arm) I was able to put it back on without jacking the car up. So there was no pressure on it at all.
