Maybe bolt-on parts the Camaro will respond better. But with the Stang you will probably not see any after market heads. The stock heads flow some seriously impressive numbers. Best you will probably be able to do is get some machining on stock heads.
Where the 5.0 will shine, at least once you get some good rods and pistons in it will be when you force feed some air into her. These DOHC motors love boost. And with the heads flowing better than GT500 heads, I can see a forged 5.0 making more power or the same power as the same amount of boost on the GT500s 5.4.
