i said "common" and "popular" cars. the more expensive the car, the less popular or common it is. so we shouldn't limit the discussion to a budget.

according to forbes.com (2009 data), it's not that many cars (under $100k): mustang +, z06, AMG, lotus (yuck), GT-R, viper, cts-v

camaro is the fastest on 0-60 behind the gt500.

so really, the answer to my own post: not many popular cars are faster. lol.
