Thumbs up Flowmaster Super 40's Dual IN/OUT - Custom Setup - Great Sound

Exhaust: https://amzn.to/2DP2Wd7

UPDATED: 5/2/2013
Figured i'd let you guys know how the exhaust is after 2 years of having it installed.... It Kicks Ass... I was originally worried about sound from inside the car but surprisingly it's not as bad as my first few months...

Went to Caffeine and Octane last weekend and got a quick video of the my car on take off... I've had the exhaust over a month now and I can say if you are thinking about getting a new exhaust i HIGHLY recommend this. It was loud in the beginning but its definitely toned down inside the car. Watch this my brother took of me leaving the car show. Sound quality isn't the best but w/e... u will still get the point. There is also a TranAm right behind me u will only hear it for the last second or two but it'll give u a good comparison.

I know everyone says this about their car but i have been pretty honest in this thread so far... i think this exhaust was done perfectly. It's exactly what i was trying to do. Moving the muffler as close to the H pipe as possible almost completely eliminates the rasp of a the V6. And this is coming from a super 40!! Super 40's are very free breathing mufflers so this exhaust would usually sound raspy on a V6 at higher rpm's but i can red line and keep it "tuned". This is the most muscular sounding V6 that i've heard.
A guy at the car show described it perfectly... He said it sounds like a quiet GTR... A mix of a ferarri, G35, and a muscle car. It stays tuned and no rasp and still has the gargle and muscle sound.

I hit redline in this video... Wanted to show how it stays tuned.

It took a while but finally decided on a new exhaust. I wanted to try something new and so far its a huge success. I found one v6 camaro with super 40's and really like the loud sound, but wanted a little more tune. I also saw a few video's of people putting dual in dual out magnaflow mufflers and liked the sound but wanted some more rumble. So i put the two together and it sounds AMAZING!

I bought a Flowmaster Super 40's muffler (Dual in Dual out) from Summit Racing for $95 and some extra 2.5" tubing(Nobody has done this yet, I wanted something new, and i was really interested to see how it would end up). I located the muffler where the resonators used to be. This is a good location because its not to close to the tips which helps keep down the raspy sound of the V6 at high RPM's. In order to fit the muffler here we did have to make some adjustments. The muffler is 10" body length and we only had about 11". We had to bend some heat shield and do some heat and hammer tweaking. We technically could have fit the muffler but i didn't want it hanging to low. I don't think this is a problem for one of the dual in dual out magnaflow's because its 8.5" body length.

After the muffler it's just straight pipes until the tips. If anyone is thinking about doing this heres my first impression. ITS REALLY LOUD. Almost having second thoughts because its so loud. I just finished it about an hour ago so ill let you guys know in a few days how i feel but its not anywhere close to stock. It definitely sounds amazing, i think they best yet, but its also the first i have heard in person. All of us working on the car looked at eachother in awe, it is way louder than expected. The video will not do this justice(Like everyone says, and now i know what they mean) but the bass is incredible. It sounds like a mix between a ferarri, a croch rocket, and a G35/350Z. I don't know yet if its for an everyday driver but for a fun weekend car HELL YEH.
