So you either have to go to a dealer who has an allocation for your order, or stay with this one and play the waiting game. If they don't have immediate allocation for your order, you could wait weeks or months before your order is accepted into cue for production.
Something fishy though, your dealer has already lied to you. You don't need allocation to "place" the order in workbench. You need allocation for GM to run with the order from workbench. So 3 weeks ago, when you placed your order, it should have been entered in workbench and you walk away with an order number....whether the dealer has allocation or not.
