Exactly! Their Z packages refer to HP rating, not cubic inches! If they were dropping in 427s for $10K I don't think they'd keep up with demand.
Besides, unless I already had the 1LE package, I would want to beef up the suspension, transmission, differential, axles, bushings, sway bars, etc.
The base SS shows some weaknesses when it puts 500+ to the wheels. It'll handle it, but you won't enjoy it.
