The dealer and I put 87 in my 2012 2SS/RS, I then let the tank run down to 4 gallons and filled up with 90 (93 not avalible) I did the fuse pull for 2 hours and I did not see a change with my timming degree numbers.
Am I looking for high degree numbers when its in high octane mode and low number even in negative with low octane mode, or vise versa?
I hope theres someone that could answer this.

How did you drive your car when you had the tank of 87 in it? If the car spent most of its time idling or just cruising around, chances are your knock sensor did not pick up enough ping/knock retard to set the ECU into low octane mode, unless you were going WOT for a bit and got the revs up, it most likely didnt make a difference.
Generally speaking though, if its in low octane mode, you will have less overall ignition timing (lower numbers) throughout the RPM range then you would if it was in high octane mode (high numbers).
