I did it. However, I put something in place of it which allowed me to reuse the tunnel braces. If you don't have them in, you will feel the loss of rigidity in the car, so it will be important that you do put something in place. For myself, I went with the LG chassis brace. The only thing that has been taken out completely is the two diagonal in the rear that from the center of the car, up, and out to the side rails. Even with those gone and the chassis brace in, everything feels very tight and strong, and this is with all the power I have now.
