yeah it definitely is....but on dipyourcar.com they recently came out with a dip remover for that exact situation...it comes in like a windex bottle and you just soak the area that you want the dip removed in the solution and after about 10 minutes you can just wash it off with water and it doesnt hurt the paint at all....
