Best place to locate a cutout is in the I pipe before the axle. But since I have a bullet there, I'm installing mine to be the connection point between the Y and I pipes. If you're going electric, neat thing is that the body seal plugs for the floors can be sliced to allow the wires into the cabin without drilling any holes. Run it under the carpet to the console/seat and wire it in to power.
