Are you using aftermarket airbox? Oiled filter? If so grab some maf cleaner. Remove maf, spray it down with the cleaner, let dry and try again. You can get this at most parts stores.
Not saying that is the issue but, could be. K&N airboxes have caused this issue for some if you have one of those.
If answer to all of above is no. Still clean the maf and see if it goes away. Could take a few miles for it to dissapear after cleaning.
If it was a loose gas cap i think the code goes away once done up properly and you restart the car like 5 times.
