You sound like a very mature 18 year old...well grounded and you have a plan...your plan.
Some here have offered advice and some have offered criticism. Take listen to it all, weight it out, and move forward with your plan. It sounds like you know what you want and how to get it. I get that.
When a was 19 in the 1960s, I bought a new GTO. Two years later I bought a house as a single man. It started me off on the right foot and I never looked back.
