Keep a few things in mind.

Going off what we know these people could very well be victims as well. Their story is that they purchased it for $700 from a flea market. The detective stated that the entire family had very little knowledge of computers and how they functioned. While I have a difficult time believing that you could take receipt of a laptop that still contains personal data on it, and not believe that it has history to be a stretch... it is a possible scenario. Not to mention this entire time they didn't delete a single thing off of the laptop including the pictures of my wedding that my mother had saved on the desktop.

The one I want is the person in the TSA, whom we entrust with the safety of millions of travelers. Lets pray that the police are able to track it back to this individual/group.

-Edit-

Also, once we take receipt of the laptop from the police, I will be doing my own investigation on the laptop to see if the person who stole it used it prior to being sold.
