use the puller to remove the gear.. you can heat the gear up to reinstall it... a propaing tourch is usually used... do not heat it till it red. just go around it and heat it up to about 400-500 degrease.. it will slide on... dont beat and pry on it.. there is a installer kit some were that has a pipe and a big washer that will fit over your crank shaft and you use the crank bolt to press it back on..... Dont heat the crank shaft up at all.. hold the gear in some channel lock pliers. heat it up some... then put it on the crank. you may still need something round that will fit over the crank that you can LIGHTLY tap on... dont drive it on... you will mess the crank bearings up...
