I am just confused/surprised by GM's timing. It was just a year or so ago that GM would not release replica 2009 Indy 500 Pace Cars for fear it would undermined Transformers and Synergy sales and they almost did not release 2010 Pace Cars for the same type of reason. With the 2011 Pace Car announcement just out of the news bag; GM is flirting with a new Camaro announcement.... I though the next Indy Pace Car was going to be the Z28 vert but for the 2012 Indy 500. This announcement, if it is the Z28 only makes sense if it is for 2012, but that would not be typical of GM to announce so far in advance.
