Yeah, you're right, the GT500 makes 500 hp at the crank and more like 447 at the rear wheels. But I think that Top Gear knows darn well what the HP numbers mean.
Wild_weasel, take for instance...the C6 Corvette Z06 makes anywhere between 453 and 468 rear wheel hp...even while having a factory rating of 505 hp, which of course is rated at the flywheel. Top Gear knows what they're talking about...just food for thought.
