Torque is measurable and what moves the vehicle. 272lb/ft is good, a few mods to get it up to around 300+lb/ft and some rear gears will get this heavy car feeling like what you'd expect a big, quick car to feel like. My 85 Regal T-type was only rated at 200hp but had 300lb/ft. A few years ago my then gf who knew nothing about cars said it scared her when she would gently hit the gas and the tires would chirp without her trying.
