If you hook a 2 ohm sub up to an amp that's not designed to put power out at 2-ohms, you're going to screw your amp, or your woofer, or both. If you only want 1 sub, get a 4 ohm sub. Or a 2ohm sub with dual voice coils wired in parallel for 4 ohms. If you want 2, you can get two 8 ohm subs and wire them in parallel. The possibilities are really endless. And save the money and get a good sub amp. JL amps are good at almost any impedance you put to them because of how their power supply works.
