1.5" is an extreme drop for springs only. The factory strut is not designed to be collapsed 1.5" constantly. I'd recommend 1" drop springs if you're interested in springs only.
Of course, you can get a 1.5" drop (plus more) if you go with coilovers. Coilovers are MUCH more expensive but they're arguably the "correct" way to lower these cars.
Most will say Pedders or Pfadt are the best on 5th gen Camaros. Other options are KW, BMR, Hotchkis, Eibach, etc. These are all good too.
